§61.109 Aeronautical Experience
Required Minimums:FAA Knowledge Written Exam
(40) Hours of Total Time
At least (20) Hours of Dual Flight Instruction
(10) Hours of Solo Flight Training, Consisting of:
(5) Hours of Solo Cross Country Time
One Solo Cross Country Flight of 150 nautical miles total distance (One segment of at least 50nm straight distance), with full-stop landings at three points.
(3) takeoffs and (3) landings to a full stop at an airport with an operating control tower
(3) Hours of Cross-Country Flight Training in ASEL
(3) Hours of Night Flight Training in ASEL (Including)
One Cross-Country Flight of over 100 Nautical Miles total distance
10 Takeoffs and 10 Landing (to a full stop) at an airport
(3) Hours of Simulated Instrument Flight Instruction

§61.65 Instrument Rating Requirements
Required Minimums:Hold at least a current private pilot certificate
FAA Knowledge Written Exam
50 hours of PIC Cross-Country Flight time
10 hours PIC must be in Airplanes
40 hours of Actual or Simulated Instrument time
15 Hours of Actual or Simulated Flight training in an Airplane
Instrument Flight Training on Cross Country Flight Procedures including:
One Cross-Country Flight in an Airplane with an authorized instructor, performed under IFR
250 NM along airways or direct routing from ATC.
An Instrument Approach at each Airport
Three different kinds of apporaches with the use of navigation systems.

§61.129 Aeronautical Experience
Required Minimums:
FAA Knowledge Written Exam
(250) hours of Flight time consisting of:
(100) hours in powered aircraft; which (50) hours must be in airplanes
(100) hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time, which includes at least:
(50) hours in Airplanes; and
(50) hours in Cross-Country flight of which at least (10) hours must be in Airplanes
(20) hours of Training on the Areas of Operations listed in §61.127(b)(1) of this part that includes at least:
(10) hours of Instrument Training using a view-limiting device. (5 hours out of the 10 must be in airplanes)
(10) hours of Training in a Complex Airplane, a Turbine-powered Airplane, or a Technically Advanced Airplane (TAA), or any combination thereof.
One 2-hour Cross Country flight in a Single Engine Airplane in Daytime conditions that consists of a total straight-line distance of more than 100 Nautical Miles from the original point of departure;
One 2-hour Cross Country flight in a Single Engine Airplane in Nighttime conditions that consists of a total straight-line distance of more than 100 Nautical Miles from the original point of departure;
(3) hours in a Single-Engine Airplane with an Authorized Instructor in preparation for the Practical test within the preceding 2 Calendar months from the month of the test.
(10) hours of Solo flight time in a Single-Engine Airplane or (10) hours of flight time performing the duties of Pilot in Command (PIC) in a Single-Engine Airplane with an Authorized Instructor on board.
One Cross-Country flight of not less than 300 Nautical Miles total distance, with landings at a minimum of three points, one of which is a Straight-Line distance of at least 250 Nautical Miles from the original departure point.
(5) Hours in Night VFR conditions with 10 Takeoffs and 10 Landings (with each involving a flight in the traffic pattern) at an Airport with an operating Control Tower.
